A gorilla trek is much more than reaching the location of a gorilla family. The journey takes you through ancient forest, steep trails and changing vegetation, with the excitement building as your trackers follow signs left by the gorillas.
Once the gorilla family is located, the forest seems to become a different world. You may find a mother caring for her infant, youngsters playing around the group or a silverback quietly watching everything happening around him.

Kidepo Valley National Park
For travellers looking for something more remote, Kidepo Valley National Park offers a very different safari experience.
Located in northeastern Uganda, Kidepo is known for its rugged landscapes, wide open valleys and sense of wilderness. The park is home to wildlife that is less commonly encountered in other parts of Uganda, making it particularly appealing to experienced safari travellers and photographers.
Because of its remote location, visiting Kidepo usually works best as part of a carefully planned longer safari.
Lake Mburo National Park
